World’s Best Household Cleaner!

image

When I first found out that I was pregnant, I started making an honest effort to avoid harsh chemicals as much as possible. I didn’t want to clean with potent commercial cleaners, but I still wanted my house to sparkle and smell fresh…and so, my magical spray cleaner was born. It’s inexpensive, easy to make, and works like a dream.

You will need:

-1 teaspoon dawn dish soap
-1 tablespoon of baking soda
-2 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide
-2 cups of water
-Spray bottle

I personally love the smell of dawn dish soap, but if you want a different scent, you can always add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. I have used lavender, lemon, and peppermint and they all smell amazing.

Mix all ingredients into a large spray bottle, shake, and you’re good to go! Always test on discreet areas first and use white cleaning towels because peroxide can discolor fabrics.

I use this cleaner all over the house, in the bathroom and the kitchen, on the walls, the floors, and as a stain remover for my laundry. It is way cheaper and just as efficient as any chemical cleaner out there, so I couldn’t be happier with the results. I hope that you love it as much as my family does.

As always, please share your comments and personal experience with this cleaner in the comments below.

Have a great Sunday! And be sure to follow my journey on INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, and here on the BLOG.

I may try your cleaner, as I’m a clean and tidy person too. I have my own spray bottle full of lavender smelling detergent and water, which I spray down my kitchen counters with every day. I love that it’s not too pungent, but keeps the kitchen counters sparkling. I can also use it on my appliances too as it’s going to clean and shine, not abuse. Maybe I’ll add some of the ingredients you mentioned in my next fill-up. I’m especially curious about the hydro-p. I wonder what it might do in addition, especially on my testy dishwasher front. Excellent post!
